The Table d'hôte
The principle of the table d'hôte comes from the French tradition. Hosts offer a meal to their guests at a communal table. This concept is especially popular in rural areas where people seek to offer a unique cultural and culinary experience.
A fixed-price meal: A single menu is offered at a fixed price, which is different from an à la carte menu where each dish is paid for individually.
Service is provided at a communal table: Guests share the same table, thus promoting a friendly atmosphere where discussions and exchanges between people who do not know each other beforehand are encouraged.
Hospitality above all: we prepare and serve meals in a welcoming, family-style atmosphere. Dishes are homemade with local ingredients, showcasing the region's traditional cuisine.
Simplicity and Authenticity: The experience is often described as more authentic, offering insight into the local life and food customs of the region visited.
